When I launched the short course on online writing I talked extensively about how important a web page title was and how to write it correctly. Now I'm talking about it from a different perspective, focusing on blogging and considering some aspects of the title that are normally underestimated. Why is the title important? From an academic point of view, the title of a post is important for both SEO (search engine optimization) and SEM (Search Engine Marketing). SEO: the title is one of the on-page factors that contributes to the positioning of the page on search engines. It contains keywords relevant to the theme of the blog, which must however be contextual to the topic covered by the post.
SEM: the title, together with the description, can convince the user to click on the result in the SERPs ( search engine results pages). Thanks to a good title, therefore, you can attract readers to Phone Number Data your posts. From a narrative point of view, the title of a post is important because: it represents a direct connection between us and the information we are looking for, allowing us to understand in a few moments whether it is worth reading that post or not; stimulates curiosity, pushing us to continue reading, as it summarizes the topic of the post in a few words. Writing a good title for our posts becomes a strategic operation, because it allows us to have more readers and more shares. <h2>Use main keywords Each post is characterized by main and secondary keywords.
In this case the keywords, or rather the main keyword phrase is "write the title of a post", the secondary ones are "blogging", "SEO", "SEM", because they are contextual. In the title of the post we must always insert the main keywords, those that define the theme of the article. It is thanks to those words that the reader immediately understands what the post will be about. If I had titled this article “An important tip on blogging”, I would have used a secondary keyword, too general to understand the topic of the post, and an equally generic phrase. There are many bloggers who use such generic titles for their posts, titles that do not arouse curiosity and reduce the possibility of reading.
